1790 No Abijah Vining household has been found in the 1790 census. A history of Pitcher, New York, reported that “Abijah Vining came from Connecticut about 1800 and settled about a mile south-west of Pitcher, where Judson Wire now [year?] lives, and died there, he and his wife, Rebecca, the latter April 1, 1811. His children were Philo, and Leeson.”:
1800 Deruyter, Chenango County, New York - Only two males, one age 10–16 (likely John Leeson Vining) and one age 45 and over (Abijah Vining), were reported in the 1800 census. This suggests that Thomas "Philo[w?]" Vining was not living in this household in 1800.:
1810 German, Chenango County, New York - The age range for the supposed Rebecca (Barton) Vining is either too young, or the 1800 age range is too old.:
